This is a real client case study (details anonymized per our NDA). The client is a WooCommerce store selling handmade artisanal goods in a moderately competitive niche with good product-market fit but virtually no organic search presence when they came to us.

Starting Situation

When the client reached out in October 2025: monthly organic traffic was ~180 visitors/month, they ranked for zero competitive commercial keywords, Domain Authority was 12 (very low), technical SEO score was 47/100, no content strategy existed, 40+ product pages had duplicate or missing meta descriptions, and page load speed was 8.2 seconds on mobile — catastrophic.

Our 90-Day Strategy

Month 1: Technical Foundation

Before any content work, we fixed technical issues preventing Google from ranking the site: compressed and CDN-served images (mobile load dropped from 8.2s to 2.1s), wrote unique keyword-optimized meta tags for all 47 product pages, added Product schema with pricing and review data to all product pages, built proper internal linking structure, submitted sitemap, and fixed 23 crawl errors.

Within 3 weeks, Google Search Console showed a 34% increase in impressions — before we'd published a single piece of content.

Month 2: Content Strategy

We identified 40 high-value, low-competition keywords across three categories: buyer's guides, comparison articles, and informational posts. We published 8 in-depth blog articles (1,500–3,000 words each), fully optimized with proper heading structure and internal links to product pages. We also optimized existing category pages with 300–500 word introductory content.

Month 3: Link Building

With clean technical foundations and fresh content, Month 3 focused on domain authority growth: secured 12 editorial links from relevant lifestyle and craft blogs through guest posts, built 35 local and niche directory citations, and PR outreach resulted in 2 product features in publications with combined DA 65+.

Key Lessons

Technical SEO first, always. The 34% impressions increase from technical fixes alone — before any content — proved Google wanted to rank this site but couldn't due to structural problems.

Content quality over quantity. 8 deeply researched articles outperformed what 40 thin articles would have done. Every post was built to rank and convert.

SEO and UX are inseparable. The speed improvement didn't just help SEO — it reduced bounce rate by 28%, which fed back into better rankings.
